Judgment lien
A general, involuntary lien arising from a court money judgment
When a court awards money damages, recording the judgment creates a lien attaching to real property the debtor owns in that jurisdiction — and often to property they acquire later while it remains in force.
How the exam asks about it
Classified as general and involuntary: general because it reaches all the debtor’s property in the county rather than one named parcel, involuntary because the owner did not agree to it.
