Title and transfer
General warranty deed
A deed warranting title against all defects, whenever they arose
The strongest deed a buyer can receive. The grantor warrants against defects arising at any point in the property’s history, not merely during their own ownership, and the covenants of seisin, quiet enjoyment, further assurance and warranty forever come with it.
How the exam asks about it
Ranked against the special warranty deed — which covers only the grantor’s period — and the quitclaim, which warrants nothing at all.
